In Ancient Rome, the amphoras that carried limited batches of special wine were called ‘Cadus’. Created with the same vision, Cadus was Nieto Senetiner’s iconic wine for two decades.
Today, CADUS WINES is an independent winery that creates limited batches of auteur wines with the zeal of those who seek to capture the essence of nature, and manages to express the unique features of the best vineyards in the Andes foothills.

The Appellation line is representative of its origin, it seeks to be the authentic expression of the Mendoza terroir.
Cadus was born in small and well-kept farms in the most prominent areas of Mendoza.

Heavy, clayey soils with little organic matter. Due to the scarcity of water, grapes with good expression of red fruit are obtained. The cool nights offer great concentration of color and freshness.
1050 MASL, LUJÁN DE CUYO, MAIPÚ.
Sandy soils with high mineral content, give rise to a high acidity fruit and a concentration of flavors. The altitude, intensive luminosity and water scarcity of the valley create wines of pronounced structure.
1250 MASL, TUNUYÁN, UCO VALLEY.
Soils of alluvial origin, with a high presence of pebbles, low humidity retention. The wines created in this terroir usually have a great concentration suitable for a prolonged aging.
1300 – 1400 MASL, TUPUNGATO, VALLE DE UCO.
Sandy soils with the presence of limestone and minerality, deep groove and good drainage result in wines with intense violet colors, vertical tannins and marked notes of minerality.
